Book Launch!

FACT: Jennifer Armentrout is an amazing writer, and we should encourage her by buying her books.

FACT: Obsidian is wicked good.

FACT: You should get a copy of this book today.

Starting over sucks. When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, outhouses, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring. Until I spotted my hot neighbor with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something…unexpected happens. The hot alien living next door marked me.

You heard me. Alien.

Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and the mark he left on me has me lit up like Las Vegas strip to the bad guys. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades. If I don't kill him first, that is. And then things got really bad…

Book Launch-Day 1

And Accused is officially out... now!

I'm really excited about this one, and I want to share the giddy. Sooo, I'm going to offer a signed set of the first four Ganzfield books here in a giveaway. And I'm making this one international.

To enter, post a response to this question:

Who is more of a Jedi?
A) Trevor
B) Zack
C) I have no idea who these guys are, so I need to win these books

I'll give you one chance for your post, and an extra chance for being a follower, as well as for each link you post to Facebook, Twitter, your blog, etc. Please include the links in your comment and post by midnight (EDT) Thursday, August 18th. I'll use random.org to pick the winner and announce on Friday.
Check back throughout the week for more launch festivities and giveaways. Happy Launch Day!

Book Event

My husband and I arrived early. The only people there were the librarian who had set the event up, and her college-aged daughter, but I wasn't worried. Yet.

We set up the snacks and the computer, so we could show the book trailer.

But 7pm came, and we only had four people. Oh well. I can practice my reading, at least. Several more people came in rapid succession, and we broke double-digits. Whew!

People got cold drinks and mini-cupcakes. We started with a showing of the book trailer, then I read a short bit of chapter six of Minder. We had a SWAG giveaway using Zener cards--people had to "sense" which symbol I had in-hand to win the t-shirt. This worked really well for the giveaway, and I plan to use it again.

I have to say, my favorite part of the evening was the discussion with the audience. We had such a great group! The conversation ranged from the writing process and character development to some of our favorite YA and paranormal books, such as Twilight, Harry Potter, Anne Rice, etc. Ninety minutes passed in a flash, and suddenly I was signing a bunch of books and packing up.
I want to say a huge

THANK YOU!
to everyone who came out last night. I especially want to single out Leigh, for arranging everything at the library; Carolyn, for helping set up; and Heather, for making the mini-cupcakes. Thank you!
My next book reading will be next week in Boston at ReaderCon. I'll be with the Broad Universe contingent (I simply LOVE that name for a group of female sci-fi writers!). We have a reading session scheduled, and I'll also be selling and signing copies of Minder at their table in the bookseller's room.

Marketers, Editors, and Printers--Oh My!

Greetings and Salutations from the surreal world of having a book published.

Today's new thing: Minder's up on Kindle, although the link won't allow purchases until the June 18th release date.

I'm working with the distributor to have Minder available in the UK next month, as well. I'll give you Brits and ex-pats a link when everything's set.

I hope to get book two to the editor by the end of the week. I'm applying the stuff she mentioned in the book one edit before I send it to her. Who knew I used the word "that" so often?

Please keep spreading the word about the book trailer and the affiliated charitable promotion. I'm off doing training for my day job for the rest of the week, but I'll have some extras over the weekend for the blog jog and shirt giveaway, so check back!

SWAG

Hi folks,

I had a little fun this weekend, and I came up with this:

It's available at Cafe Press now, but I'm not shilling them*.

* yet.

I'll also give away a bunch of them at the virtual launch party here in June, along with signed copies of MINDER and whatnot.

Starting tomorrow, I'm taking part in Jenn Hubbard's Library-Loving Blog Challenge. I hope you'll post comments over the next few days and make me give money to the Hopkinton Town Library.

The rules:
I'll donate $1.00 for every post over the next few days, limit one per person, per day. I'll cap it at $150.00 for the week. However, for new or existing followers in the BFFs box to the right ---->
I'll donate $2.00 per day, per post*.

* Again, limit one per day. What, am I made of money? I'm a struggling new author with three small children, people!

Happy Monday!
