Purchase Orders

I love you guys. Those of you who pre-ordered Minder from Amazon--I love you. I just had a "very special moment" in the life of an innocent, young publisher--my first purchase order.

They say you always remember your first. *sigh*

I got the order in from Seattle while sitting at my computer in New Hampshire. I sent the print order to the printer in Tennessee, who'll ship the books to the warehouse in Indiana. God Bless America and the internet.

BTW, if you want a signed copy, please preorder from the Spencer Hill Press website. It says that you have to order before the release date to get a signed copy, but I'll send you one anyway if you ask. That's the kind of love I have for you.

You can also win one in a few weeks at the Virtual Launch party--right here at The Disgruntled Bear June 14-18th. Today, I'm feelin' mighty gruntled.

So tell me, what kinds of giveaways do you want? Signed books? More t-shirts? Query critiques? Home-baked cookies? I'm up for any and all of the above--comment below to let me know your preferences.

No, I'm not drunk.

No, the Prozac hasn't kicked in.

I just got a PURCHASE ORDER! Yay!

That's awesome! Congrats! Alas, I will be out of town and away from the interwebs for that week, but I'll still vote. Signed books and critiques are fabulous.

Kate, that's fantastic. I'm really glad it's doing so well! And I'm sorry I haven't been around. Things here have been full of suckitude. I will, I promise, get to the ordering, and, I vote cookies. Definitely the cookies.

I just went to buy your book through Spencer Hill, and it directed me to amazon. is this what I'm supposed to do to get a signed one? Or should I go take a week's nap and then do something obvious?

For a signed copy, click the yellow "add to cart" button a few lines below the Amazon and B&N buttons.

Thanks for asking, but Jenny--you know you're getting a signed copy already, right? :)

Congrats on the purchase order! I used to issue purchase orders (for other boring business stuff), so I was delighted to discover this was a *good* thing.

Ideas for a release party,
cookies are always good
GCards usually draw attention too. I have seen a lot of authors do this.
Signed books work great too!
