Regular folks need not apply. Even Batman had the powers of ridiculous wealth and excessive angst to help him clean up Gotham.
If you could have any single
super-ability, what would it be?

I created my superhero persona years ago. If I could be anything, I would be Mercury--a girl who can shift into the physical embodiments of the metal, mercury. I would be able to manipulate temperatures around me and squeeze through even the smallest crack (because I'm liquid). And on really warm days, I would be able to fly! :D
Cool, Emily! And it's really original!
I think teleportation would be really great, but I can't think of a good superhero name. "The Commuter" just doesn't do it. However, my catchphrase would be, "I'm outta here!"
Right now, lamely, I would 100% choose the superpower of causing all matter around me to organize itself into the most useful and clean arrangement, effortlessly. I would foil villains by making them unable to find their tools of evil, much in the way of a mother-in-law reorganizing your kitchen, and I'd enjoy a glorious home and yard without any daily battles over toy pickup.
LOL, Jenny. SUPERMOM!
I'd want the ability to make people do what I tell them to do, when what I am telling them to do is IN THEIR OWN BEST INTEREST ANYWAY. That might be influenced, right now, by the fact that I am at the end of the school year, and that means I am fighting to get kids to care about their futures and the quality of work they do.
Rich, it sounds like you want to be a charm!
A charm in a limited way -- I don't want to screw with people, but instead to get them to do what they SHOULD ALREADY BE DOING! Trying on homework, hanging up the phone when they drive, treating people nicely -- that sort of stuff.
Rich, I believe that the superhero name for that superpower is "Jaime Escalante" (based on the movie Stand and Deliver, at least).
Congrats on the release!
I can't think of a clever name either, but I'd like to be able to tell when people are lying. A BS detector, as if were. Also, if I could stop the boy whining (especially when he really gets going), THAT would be magical.
Here's my favorite superpower: being AWESOME. If you want to know what it's like to have this superpower, feel free to ask me.

LOL, Peter!
Thanks, Candace!
And Brenda,
I feel your pain re: the whining--times three! I find threatening to feed the children to the wolverines sometimes works--usually because they want to know what wolverines are, and then they get interested in planning a trip to the zoo.
My choice of a superpower would be to have endless energy. I think that I could tackle most anything if I just had more energy to take it on! (Can you tell I have a small child, too?)
I'd be a dream walker like the villain in my book. A name though? Hmmmm. SlumberLass?
I'd like the ability to freeze time. That way I could finally do ALL the reading I want to do. I could even pseudo-teleport myself since I could get from point A to point B with zero time having elapsed! I could also stop time and avert minor disasters on occasion.
As for a name, I'd either go with Five Dee (since time, the fourth dimension, wouldn't really apply to me) or something temperature-related like Lady Kelvin or Absolute Hero.
Hey Kate. Congrats on your launch! I received the book and I'll be reading it. It's been crazy busy over the last couple of weeks and I'm anxious to sink my teeth into it. As far as super powers? Umm...I'm leaning toward the power to be invisible. Have to think of how I'd use it though...besides just being nosy!
Thanks for stopping by and giving me your words of wisdom. You are a published author now!
Good one, Jessica!
Ooh Vicki--I like the idea of a "dreamwalker." Is this from TEMPTED?
Katie--great names! I love the logic about the 4th dimension.
Thanks, June! Congrats again on finishing the book!
The winner for the second day is...Rich!
