Blog Jog!

Disgruntled Bear is part of this weekend's Blog Jog.
If this is your first time here--welcome!
The next stop on the Blog Jog trail is : http://theblueinkwell.com/
While you're here, please watch my book trailer. For every view, I'm giving 1-cent to Nothing But Nets.

Minder comes out in June (click here for a PDF excerpt). Both Amazon and Barnes and Noble have pre-order options. We'll have a virtual launch party here the week of June 14-18th--giveaways and contests and all.

If you like this blog, please sign up as a follower--just click "Follow" on the right or in the top menu bar.

Finally, we're having another Minder t-shirt giveaway this weekend. Want one?
Comment below with the location where you'd wear it. Please post your comment by midnight, Monday, May 10th. I'll list the winner(s) on Tuesday the 11th and post a link so you can send me your size and mailing address (US addresses only, please!). Send me a photo of yourself in the shirt, and I'll add it to the growing collection.

Happy weekend!

My mother wants to take a picture of her labrador wearing the MINDER shirt. I'm not sure if I should be offended or amused.

I think I'm going with amused.

The book trailer looks great and definitely makes me want to read your book. Are you a fan of the X-Men? I know that you must like Harry Potter from the comment that you made over at my blog. I think if this trailer is for a book about teens with superhuman powers (like the mutants of X-Men and the wizard kids in Harry Potter) and you've got the romantic element (as in Twilight) then you've got yourself a large target Good luck with it! I hope to read it when it comes out in June.

Thanks phoenixweasley!

Since Minder's a YA paranormal fantasy with a central romance, there are a lot of parallels with Harry Potter, Twilight, X-Men, Star Wars, and others. The characters themselves make comments about the connections sometimes.

And one of my sons is named Logan--we jokingly refer to him as "Wolverine."

Jogging in. I'd wear the t-shirt to a ballgame.

I discovered your blog fro Blog Jog, I became a follower on Google. I would wear my shirt to the mall, that way more people would see it and ask about it.

Forgot to mention I'd wear the t-shirt to my writers group. I'm sure it would start an interesting discussion.

Yes, it is depressing trying to become published. My Native American/Celtic YA fantasy, THE BEAR WITH TWO SHADOWS, has been rejected more times than I was during Prom season by beautiful girls! Roland
