You Don't Have to Go to Your Home Page...

...but you can't stay here.

Okay, sure you can. Just fold out that futon and we'll all go to IHOP in the morning.

Today's the LAST DAY of the Virtual Launch Party--thanks for stopping by this week. It's official--as of today I'm a (cue angelic choir)...PUBLISHED AUTHOR!

Next step: Bestselling Author. Dare to dream.

Since one of my life's dreams just came true, I'll throw that question out to the rest of you:

What's your life's ambition?

Do you want to write a novel? Sing in Carnegie hall? Prove that vampires actually exist? Raise children who'll actually visit you in the nursing home? World domination? What do you want to do with your life?

Post a comment below--either a serious one or an amusing one. Each post will give you a chance to win today's giveaway--your choice of TWO of the following: a signed copy of Minder, a Minder t-shirt, a Minder poster, a writer's critique, cookies, or a character in a later Ganzfield book named after you. Details are spelled out in the Virtual Launch Party post from this past weekend.

You can earn additional chances by linking your blog, website, Tweet, Facebook page, etc. to any of the following (or three chances if you link to all three):

http://thedisgruntledbear.blogspot.com
or
http://www.ganzfield.com
or
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lv6eC3E-9k

Just put a link to YOUR link in the comments below. I'll pick the winner from the comments received by 7am (EDT) Saturday, June 19th.

Happy Friday!

UPDATE: The winner of Thursday's giveaway is...glacierlilies! Let me know what you want, Jenny, as well as which charity I should support.

BREAKING NEWS: My interview at Para-fanatics will go up at NOON today at: http://para-fanatics.blogspot.com/. I'll count comments over there toward the giveaway here, so stop by!

I have no idea what my life's ambition is. LOL. I currently want to write (and am working on it), but my ambitions have been known to shift under my feet.

I'd like to raise responsible children who not only visit their mama, but also pursue their talents and passions.

I'd like to touch people's lives...maybe it's a phone call, maybe it'll be saying the right words at the right time, maybe it'll be something I write. If I can touch someone and make a difference, is there any greater accomplishment?

Oh, yeah. And I'd kinda like to master telekinesis.

Funny you should mention that, Vicki. I think I have something to help you with that last bit:

Hey Kate!! Congratulations on your launch party!!

My life's ambition is to help people! That changes shape and form as the things in my life change, but the bottom line is always the same!

I'm late to the party and still getting a feel for the place. :) Congratulations to the umpteenth power on becoming published!!

My life's ambition...hmmmmmm...I guess it's to leave everyone in my life better off because they knew me, in whatever fashion that takes.

Woohoo! *balloons*

My life's ambition is world domination. Seriously. It will happen. So get on my good side now. :D

My lifes ambition, hmmm, I'm somewhere in between being a ninja or moving to South America to raise my own Llama farm. This is pretty much the only thing I'm sure of: I do not want to work at Mcdonalds. Also I never got my Hogwarts letter so I feel like a failure at life. Maybe I'll be a flight attendent.

Well I'm young I've still got time ;)

I linked all three on my facebook!

I've got one of those crazy life ambitions: to live a happy life and to have a positive impact on the people around me.

Oh yeah, and revenge against my enemies.

Oh yeah, and I linked to Ganzfield.com and the book trailer on Facebook:

Thanks, DL! Excellent and worthy ambition! (I thought it was to find a blogger in South Dakota!) :)

Emily, the first rule of World Domination is...don't talk about World Domination! :)

Kit--have you considered the enormous possibilities of ninja llamas? No one will see what spit in their face.

Disgruntled Bear said...

Hi Anya. Best of luck on the book! I started writing my first novels in high school. I finished my first novel 14 years later, while raising three toddlers in Istanbul. Yes, this contest is international, although some of the prizes can't be shipped out of the US. If you're a writer, though, I suggest you go for the critique, which can come from anywhere.

My only ambition and dream is to be a published writer :) I’m making progress, just finished writing the first draft of my novel and I’m on my way to get my MA degree on Creative Writing in UK this September…
I’m so happy for you- you must be on cloud nine! :) Can’t imagine what I would do when the day comes!!

Disgruntled Bear said...

Hi Lua!

I've got to say--it's a pretty cool feeling. Best of luck with the book--what's it about?

I have many ambitions...

Right now, I'm focused on raising a child who will be a responsible, caring, and happy adult and will call his mommy often.

I, too, would really like to publish a book! I wrote my first book in high school and I think it helped me get accepted into college (though it didn't get published). I have a few ideas, but need time to write...

Kit said...

Oh my gosh. That never even occured to me before, I have found my calling.
