Post-Mockingjay (no spoilers)

And the winner of the Adversary launch party giveaway is...Kristina! Congrats!

I'm not the only person who went a little, um, overboard for Mockingjay's release--but it's just so much fun to get into things like this! Cari at Cari's book blog dedicated a blog post to her morning adventure to get her copy.  I started reading as soon as my copy arrived and read straight through.  I think I fed my kids in there somewhere.  It's as gripping as the first two in the trilogy.

Now that I've got the book (mostly) out of my system, I took a look at the wider world.  As a member of a family from multiple religious backgrounds, I'm SHOCKED at the ignorance on display in New York over the so-called "Ground-Zero Mosque." First, it's blocks away on the site of an old Burlington Coat Factory and not visible from any part of the Ground-Zero site. Second (and more importantly), what part of "religious freedom" do the protesters of the Muslim cultural center not understand?

My copy just came today. I'm one chapter in and am about to get back to it.

As for the mosque, it's crazy. Every time I hear anyone complain about it, I'm saddened. Can't just be religious freedom for your religion or it's not really freedom, is it? Thanks for speaking out.
