T-Shirts, Free Shirts

The t-shirts are here! They look pretty cool, if I do say so myself.

Want one?

The contest is simple--comment below with the LOCATION where you, if you win, will have someone take a picture of you wearing the shirt.

In front of the Hollywood sign? At the top of the Eiffel Tower? Riding an elephant? In a cornfield next to the world's largest ball of twine? Under water next to a dolphin?

Please post by Friday, 9 April. I'll post the winner(s)* on Monday the 12th, and they can email me a mailing address.

I have to credit Matt Harding for the inspiration, though.

* Official-looking fine-print: Actual t-shirt does not glow. By entering below, you pledge to make a good-faith effort to email me the suggested picture by June 1st, 2010. You'll do your best to make sure that the picture is in-focus and shows both the white front logo on the shirt and the location. You also give me the rights to put it up here on the blog and use it in other promo capacity (you'll be credited on the Ganzfield website, under any name you want).

I'm doing mine in front of the gold-domed state house in Concord.

Yeah, that's real gold.

Woo---New Hamshah!

Too bad our side-of-a-mountain-that-looked-like-Lincoln fell down.

If you're planning a 20-city tour for April, you're SO getting a frikkin' shirt!

Oh, I wish I was going to be some place in the next week. But due to the cost of being anywhere it's hard to even be where I am. You know?

But Son's school is having some sort of "waste your tax money day" at the end of April. I'm pulling him out of school that day to take him to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. If the school's not going to teach him anything I am going to expose him to great art.

My word verification is "wheaxess". I keep reading it as "Wheaties".

Hello

I came over from fairyhedgehog to wish you GOOD LUCK with your publishing endeavours!!!

Erm, I'd love the t-shirt but I'm not going anywhere exotic nor am I going to be enticed to do that dance that Matt Harding does! LOL!

And although my cat Charlie is very clever I don't think his paws can take a pic of me wearing the t-shirt! :-)

But if he would it'd be me standing infront of my plant pots by my front door - only cos my potplants are blooming lovely this month and I'm so proud of them!

Or maybe me in front of my latest baking experiment!

Anyway well done with the publishing and I do wish you the best of success with it!

Take care
x

Welcome, Old Kitty! Thanks for the words of encouragement.

Bevie, remember what's home to you is an "exotic, foreign land" to someone else. One of my favorite experiences living in places like Turkey was that I went from Jersey-white-bread to "exotic, foreign woman."

And, as they said in that episode of Friends, "Chinese food? In China, they just call it 'food.'"

So, don't sell short the potential appeal of the Twin Cities area. :)

So glad you're taking your son to the museum. We have some amazing ones down in Boston, and my kids are just getting old enough to enjoy them. Have a wonderful "Your Tax Dollars at Waste" Day!

And KrysteyBelle, I'd LOVE a picture from Disney! The potential backdrops are legion.

Lying down taking a nap. I sure hope this is a random drawing!

I love t-shirts! (And just for kickers, I will mention that this shirt totally did the "Is it a lamp? Or two faces?" thing on me. It took me four views even to realize that one could see faces in it.)

I'd take two pictures: one in front of the Golden Gate Bridge, one on top of it.

(I came over from fairyhedgehog too, to wish you congratulations and good luck!)

On the beach here at the Costa del Sol, in front of the abandoned boat turned into a BBQ where they grill the whitebait.

But you should know that I am not the the type that looks natural in t-shirts, so the photograph might not be to your advantage!

I think I'm gonna need to send fairyhedgehog a shirt, too, to thank her for the promotional nod--or as a belated birthday present!

I will travel through some States in the near future, and I promise to find a quiet little town, ready for exposure. If I cannot, I will choose Chicago.

If you do send me a tee shirt, I'll take a picture for you! Maybe I can find somewhere cute and English-looking to take it!

Ooh, I wore mine down to Yale today and got a few shots with the family. Yay t-shirt weather!

I like the shirt. I'm in Cambridge, MA. I can take it in front of Fenway? Harvard Yard?

CONTEST OVER!

I'll post the names of the winners on Monday. Or may be in like 20 minutes--I don't know. The coffee hasn't reconnected me to the space-time continuum yet.
